Mit seinem unverkennbaren, rauen Mandolinen-Groove, seinem kühnen Sinn für Mode, seinem charismatischen, aber sanften Selbstbewusstsein und und einem ausgeprägten Gespür für Stil und künstlerische Innovation wird der vierundzwanzigjährige Mandolinist Tristan Scroggins schnell zu einer höchst einflussreichen Stimme der Musik und der Gemeinschaft in der Welt des Bluegrass. Eine alte Seele mit dem Elan und der Neugier eines jungen Menschen, glaubt Tristan fest daran, die Geschichte des Bluegrass zu Bluegrass zu lernen und einen offenen und integrativen Raum für die Musik zu schaffen. Nach Jahren des mit Jeff Scroggins und Colorado auf Tournee war, lebt er jetzt in Nashville, Tennessee, wo er Teil der aufkeimenden Teil der aufkeimenden Bluegrass- und Akustikszene geworden ist und dort auftritt, forscht und schreibt über Musik.

I met Tristan during a late night jam at the International Bluegrass Music Association in Raleigh, NC this summer. I ran into him again at the 3 Sisters Music Festival in Chattanooga, TN, where I asked him to step away from the festival for a minute to record a tune or two for my new music blog.
