Michalis Stavrakakis - "In the circle's whirling"
Ιn this music event entitled "In the circle's whirling...", DisTropon (Bimodal Band) features music and songs that are mostly their own creations, as well as tunes from Greek and Mediterranean musical tradition. The band will also attempt to represent the cycle and meaning of life from birth to death, from lullabies to encouragement to make sacrifices for ideals and values common to all humans. Our inspiration and guide on this trip are anonymous folk poets and, above all, those of the Cretan Renaissance such as the master bard Vitsentzos Kornaros, whose most famous verses lend the event its title.
