I learn to play the mandolin due the fact that in my city: the city of Rosh Ha'ayin has a long tradition of mandolin orchestras
In the beginning I was chosen to play the mandolin. just later, after we had a several concerts I fell in love with the instrument
I recommend the because it's a versatile instrument which you can play almost any genre and because when starting to play the instrument you get results much faster than most other instrument therefore this fact make the instrument a successful one
